"What a great time at Romany Cottage! Enjoyed nice strolls to Colwell and Totland Bay. Of course could not visit the Isle of Wight without a trip to The Needles. Very long walk but well worth it. Breath taking views from the chairlift and fantastically coloured rocks at Alum Bay. We also went to the old battery and sought out a Geocache - would highly recommend. Thank you!"

Family from Staffordshire - July 2020

"Firstly, I would like to say how well presented everything is - inside and outside the cottage. Secondly, I have not wanted for anything more, in the way of utensils, personal items, as they have all been provided for us ( hand towels, tea towels, games, lots of kitchen utensils). The location of the cottage is excellent as it is only a short 5 mins walk to the beach. The Waterfront Restaurant - also close by, was offering 2 for 1 on Fridays on their Fish and Scampi dishes - it was excellent. The Red Lion Pub and Restaurant - also close by, which was recommended to us, provided a very generous 3 course meal, with drinks, at a reasonable price. You do need to book as we did, but many didn't and were disappointed. We also visited a variety of attractions during our short stay, these included the Garlic Farm, Donkey Sanctuary, Butterfly Farm and some antique shops. We took a brief visit to Steephill Cove, which is just outside the centre of Ventnor. I would highly recommend the fishing cove to visit as it is very quaint, though the steps that slope down are very steep!! Overall we had a lovely stay here at Romany Cottage and will come back again."
Aaron and Phoebe - January 2020

Sad to go home, we have fallen in love with the IOW!"
